Excerpt from a wedding poem poking some fun at the newlyweds.
It all started back close to four years ago
When Robert asked Mary out;
Her bubbly character, expressive face, lively eyes, and infectious laugh
Had charmed him without a doubt.
It didn't take too long for affection
Between the two to be seen and heard;
People witnessed them calling each other nicknames
Such as 'scoop' and 'bird'.
Robert and Mary are both devoted to family,
They will make a great husband and wife.
They know they have found that special person
That they'll want to live with and annoy for the rest of their life.
This relationship should be stronger
Than a locomotive rolling down the track;
If we are to believe that wise old saying
That opposites attract.
As much as Mary is extroverted,
She can talk, talk, talk and babble;
Robert prefers to let his actions do the talking,
Like when he regularly beats Mary at the game of Scrabble.
Mary loves Winnie The Pooh, Cinderella,
Many other things from Disneyland.
Robert likes baseball and to play golf,
Except when he hits the ball in water or in those frustrating traps of sand!
Mary relieves stress and makes people feel better
By massaging them on their backs.
Robert stresses people out because as part of a revenue agency
He takes away their money through federal income tax.
Mary is petrified of water,
Just the mere sight of it makes her quiver.
Almost like when she hears a song from Shakira,
Her whole body starts to sway, shake, and shiver.
